Visual artists are increasingly using digital media to present their works of art, which initially requires special attention to moral rights, as there is a particular risk of work manipulation (distortion). The online marketing of works of art can only take place with a realignment of the relationship between authors, users and service providers. Since the latter are liable for the content posted there, there is on the one hand the risk of over-blocking through upload filters, on the other hand there is a chance for a new view of the works of art and a better appreciation.
